One of the privileges of working at a historic property is the amount of people who visit who share stories from the past. Relatives of Robert Moran’s brother William’s wife Grace (got that?) recently visited with numerous photo albums, which they graciously allowed us to scan. One of the gems is this photo of the gun barrels during the construction of the Battleship USS Nebraska at the Moran Bros. Company on the Seattle waterfront (1906) :
I guess the “which is smarter, dogs or cats” debate will continue on…These and other newly acquired photos will soon be on display in the Moran Mansion Museum.
