About Me

My Photo
Rosario Resort & Spa
Orcas Island, Washington, United States
I am a historic resort and spa located on beautiful Orcas Island in Washington State's San Juan Islands. I love to welcome travelers seeking relaxation and unparalleled beauty in the Pacific Northwest. My guests call my location breathtakingly beautiful and their experience with me romantic (blush). Every day I look out over a stunning panorama of forested island mountains and pristine shorelines. My centerpiece is the historic Moran Mansion, built between 1906-1909 by Seattle mayor and shipbuilder Robert Moran. In my mansion you will find the Mansion Dining Room, Moran Lounge, Bay Boutique, Moran Museum (yes, I am old enough to have my own museum) and The Spa (my favorite!). I am listed on the National Register of Historic Places and a member of Historic Hotels of America, a division of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Give me a call anytime at 360-376-2222 or visit my website at www.rosarioresort.com.

No More Disposable Cameras

Tirzah Fiorito, Rosario Resort & Spa's Director of Catering, recently introduced me to a great event idea: rent sets of digital cameras instead of getting disposable cameras. She recently worked with a company called CameraRenter for one of our events. It was quite cool. A set of fully insured digital cameras were delivered to the resort, then all the event guests used the digital cameras for the whole weekend. CameraRenter then created a website with the pictures and videos. The digital cameras were easy to use and took great pictures, and the website solves the issue of your guests never actually sending you any of the pictures they take!

CameraRenter seems to be great alternative to disposable cameras, so feel free to check them out at: www.CameraRenter.com.
